About Little Belt Cattle Company

Misson - “To create and promote healthy, high quality, sustainable Montana beef to America.”

Little Belt Cattle Company is a working cattle operation in central Montana focused on low-stress livestock handling, and responsible land stewardship. We value individuals who take ownership of their work, solve problems independently, and understand that livestock and land management do not operate on a traditional 9–5 schedule.

This position is well-suited for military veterans and individuals with agricultural backgrounds and a strong desire to learn who are comfortable working independently, assuming responsibility, and operating in a remote environment.

This is a non-riding position. Limited riding opportunities may exist; preference may be given to candidates with some horse experience.

This is an entry-level position; however, applicants must have a background in agriculture or relevant fields and be capable of working independently for extended periods. Position reports directly to the Director of Ranching Operations.

  • Safely mounting and dismounting equipment and vehicles
  • Working long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust, and precipitation)

Safety Expectations

  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
  • Safely operate all equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed
