Spring Storms & Calving Season

Just when we thought winter was behind us, Mother Nature surprised us with a good old-fashioned spring snowstorm. While it might’ve made chores a little soggier this week, we’re thankful — this moisture is exactly what our pastures need. With our spring pasture prep wrapped up, this snow will help set us up for a strong growing season and healthy summer grass.

We’ve also officially kicked off calving season! There’s nothing like seeing fresh calves on the ground to remind us that a new season is in full swing. It’s one of the busiest — and most rewarding — times of year on the ranch.

We’re all itching to get the cows turned out on fresh green grass and fully settle into spring. It’s always a special moment when we open those gates and watch them move out onto open pasture.

On top of all that, we’re proud to share that our latest group of steers graded 100% Choice and above, with an impressive 59% grading Prime. It’s always our goal to produce high-quality beef, and this group was no exception.
