Five Years of Little Belt Cattle Company: A Look Back at Where It All Began

Five years ago, we stood at the edge of an empty pasture in the Little Belt Mountains, waiting for the first trailer to pull through the gate. The ranch felt like a blank page, quiet, open, full of potential.

Watching those cows unload we felt equal parts excitement and the weight of responsibility. They were the foundation of everything we hoped to build: a herd raised with intention, managed with respect, and cared for the way ranchers before us had done for generations.


Building Something That Lasts

Since that first day, Little Belt Cattle Company has grown from a small herd into a Montana beef brand with a purpose. Over the years we’ve:

  • Expanded our herd and improved our soil health using regenerative grazing practices
  • Evolved into a vertically integrated beef company, supplying restaurants, retailers, and families nationwide
  • Forged partnerships with Montana restaurants and retailers who share our commitment to quality
  • Worked every day to raise beef the right way—ethically, transparently, and with pride


Even as we celebrate five years of growth, our commitment to quality remains exactly the same. We’re grateful for every customer, partner, ranch hand, and supporter who has been part of this journey. You’ve allowed us to grow from an idea into a brand that continues an American tradition.
